Vintage Find Friday: My First Vintage Find
Have I introduced you to one of my first vintage finds? This is one of my favorite pieces that has been with me with since I found it in 2000.
This is my Vintage Market Table. I found her right after college when I was moving into my first apartment. I needed some furniture and I was super into Shabby Chic. I’m not even sure the term Shabby Chic was coined yet. I just knew I loved old, chippy and soft colors. Not much has changed really!
I remember heading to Blissfield, MI where there were a bunch of antique shops and I searched all day for something to catch my eye. I found it on the second floor of an antique store in an old downtown building. I was told it was an old market table probably from the 30’s or 40’s. That would make this girl between 74 and 84 years old.
I most often use her as an entry table. But she has been used in bedrooms and as a media center. All together this lady has been moved to 4 apartments and 4 houses in the last 14 years. I have a feeling she is going to be with me forever!
Beautiful. I have an old typewriter that my husband purchased for Valentines. I have been trying to find a fun table to display it on. This has given me some inspiration on what I should look for. I love the statement and simplicity of it.
That was a great Valentines Day gift. Probably doesn’t sound very romantic for some but I would be swooning if my hubby got me something super cool like that. You’ll have to share a pic with me on Facebook when you find the perfect table. I’d love to see it
I love that table! I have some favorite vintage pieces as well… some come and go but others stay for the long run!
