I have had the best week. We are just heading home from Spring Break. No tropical beaches for us this year. Instead we did a trip to see my sister and nieces in Washington D.C. We spent a lot of this week just hanging out. I’m sure we could have killed ourselves trying to get from monument to monument. But letting the cousins play together and spending time together was the most important thing. But I did have a must do on my list for this week. I had to get to The Old Lucketts Store in Leesburg, Virginia.

If only I had enough room in my suitcase to bring it all home with me.

But I did enjoy the creative displays and all the vintage treasures to be found.

Don’t worry, I did manage to pick up a few items. I picked up some Ironstone dishes, pie plates and small vintage bottles. All items that I could fit in my suitcase.

I really wanted this Vintage birdcage but I wasn’t sure it would make it through the baggage handling at the airport. I really did think about how many pairs of socks and undies I could stuff in here so that I could fit in in my suitcase.

Obviously, this would never fit in my luggage. But I did soak up plenty of inspiration from the beautifully painted furniture.

I have a chair just like these in my garage just waiting for a makeover. I’m feeling inspired to create this week! But now after 5+ hours on a plane, I am just ready for bed!

I so feel ya. When we travel I buy it then figure out how to get it home next. I ship large items home via Greyhound bus…Great rates and there’s a depot in my city.
Soooo next time Buy It..Ship It! It was less then what it cost my husband to carry on 3 bottles of wine!
