I have a confession to make. I don’t love the color red. I wouldn’t say I actually hate it. It just isn’t my favorite. So when a client asked me to refinish a desk and hutch for her I was apprehensive. But this was a good opportunity to break out of my white and gray and light blue comfort zone.
I mean red really is out of my comfort zone. I challenge anyone to find something red in my house or wardrobe.
Not gonna happen.

I mean it’s not that bad really.
I mean red does have it’s place in the interior design world.
Hmmm, maybe I could incorporate a little bit of red into my life?????

How’d I do it? One light coat of Annie Sloan in Graphite followed by 2 coats of Anne Sloan Emperor’s Silk. Finished with Annie Sloan Clear Wax.
